How Chandler Bing From F.R.I.E.N.D.S Inspired Me

Humility

Chandler Bing was in a big position in his career. But he was not satisfied with what he was doing in life. He wanted his career to align with his interests and so he changed his career path from data processing to advertising. He had to start as an unpaid intern and he was the most senior in age amongst all the other interns, yet he did not feel ashamed or did not quit. He kept doing his job. I think this shows us how humble he was. It shows us how he could keep his pride aside and start from the very bottom all over again.

Humor

Many people saw this as a negative or annoying trait of Chandler. In fact, Chandler himself stated in one of the episodes that he used humor as a defense mechanism. But I think this was one of his best traits. Having the ability to laugh in the face of adversity is something we should all acquire. Not taking ourselves too seriously is something we should all learn. Humor can help us get through tough times. And Chandler's jokes were the star of the show according to me.

Change

We all remember how difficult it was for Rachel and Joey to change from friends to lovers. But Chandler and Monica did it effortlessly. I think it was because of Chandler's ability to accept change. Also, he was able to change his job from data processing to advertising after crossing his thirties - a huge change which many of us would be really scared to do. He also adapted well to leaving Joey and moving in with Monica.

Books I Have Been Reading Recently (Part 10)

That Night by Nidhi Upadhyay I'm reading this book in a paperback format and have completed around 50 pages. The book is about four friends who played a game of Ouija while at college and a girl of their hostel died. Twenty years later someone is trying to mess with them even though they live in different parts of the world. Intriguing premise. And interesting writing style so far. I think I might like this book, let's see. The book is around 300 pages long. The Spanish Love Deception by Elena Armas This book is about Lina and Aaron Blackford - two colleagues who initially seemingly hate each other but somehow end up becoming each other's fake dates to some major events. I've read like 150 pages of this book so far and am finding it repetitive and boring as of now. Let's see how it goes. Five Most Patriotic Movies on Amazon Prime Video India Right Now

Raazi This movie was a solid 4.5/5 stars in my opinion. What I liked the most about this movie is that it portrays a young girl who spies for her country against all odds. The movie is based on a true story and it shed light on the unsung heroes of Indian history. The main character Sehmat left college, married and lived in Pakistan, so that she could gain intel about the upcoming war. The intel gathered by her and other spies helped India to get prepared for the Indo-Pakistan war of 1971 and the Ghazi attack. The movie is based on a book called "Calling Sehmat." Alia Bhatt plays the role of the lead actress and she was able to represent what the real Sehmat would have felt like - scared, brave, patriotic, loving, dangerous, caring, human, selfless and a thousand more indescribable emotions.
