How Joey Tribbiani from F.R.I.E.N.D.S Inspired Me

 Persistence

Joey wasn't making much money initially because he wasn't able to land many roles as an actor. But he did not give up. He did not even do any other job just to make ends meet which any other person would have easily done. For example, Penny from 'Big Bang Theory' also wanted to be an actor but she never became one because she did not go for as many auditions as Joey did and she had another job (waitressing and then sales) which Joey didn't. Joey made his dream come true with sheer persistence. 

Determination

Let's be honest - Joey was not that good at acting or at least acting could not have been the thing that he was best at. This can be proven by many scenes such as when he said in an interview that he made up his own lines - which no good actor would do. Also, his many failed auditions, his lack of common sense, him taking abnormal amount of time to understand basic things, etc. Yet, it was his dream to be an actor and he fulfilled it. At the end of the series, he was a well established actor with a stable income. I think this was because he always stuck to his dream no matter what.

Integrity

I think Joey had a lot of integrity at least in friendship. This can be proven by the fact that he never told Rachel about his feelings for her before confiding in Ross first. And he rejected Rachel initially even after she confessed her feelings for him just because he respected Ross even though it had been six years since Ross and Rachel had been a couple. Though Joey is a character that one would not expect integrity from (majorly due to his flings), I think he had a lot of emotion and righteousness when it came to his friends.

Books I Have Been Reading Recently (Part 10)

That Night by Nidhi Upadhyay I'm reading this book in a paperback format and have completed around 50 pages. The book is about four friends who played a game of Ouija while at college and a girl of their hostel died. Twenty years later someone is trying to mess with them even though they live in different parts of the world. Intriguing premise. And interesting writing style so far. I think I might like this book, let's see. The book is around 300 pages long. The Spanish Love Deception by Elena Armas This book is about Lina and Aaron Blackford - two colleagues who initially seemingly hate each other but somehow end up becoming each other's fake dates to some major events. I've read like 150 pages of this book so far and am finding it repetitive and boring as of now. Let's see how it goes. Five Most Patriotic Movies on Amazon Prime Video India Right Now

Raazi This movie was a solid 4.5/5 stars in my opinion. What I liked the most about this movie is that it portrays a young girl who spies for her country against all odds. The movie is based on a true story and it shed light on the unsung heroes of Indian history. The main character Sehmat left college, married and lived in Pakistan, so that she could gain intel about the upcoming war. The intel gathered by her and other spies helped India to get prepared for the Indo-Pakistan war of 1971 and the Ghazi attack. The movie is based on a book called "Calling Sehmat." Alia Bhatt plays the role of the lead actress and she was able to represent what the real Sehmat would have felt like - scared, brave, patriotic, loving, dangerous, caring, human, selfless and a thousand more indescribable emotions.
