How Ross Geller from F.R.I.E.N.D.S Inspired Me

Perseverance

Ross had immense perseverance. In spite of having three divorces, he never stopped dating. In spite of things going on and off between him and Rachel, he never gave up. He never for a second thought that he is unworthy or undeserving of love. I think this is a trait not many of us have but it is a trait which all of us need to do great things. Most dreams don't come true because we give up too soon. According to a book by Angela Duckworth, perseverance is one of the most important factors in determining how successful a person will be in life.

Passion

Ross's passion for dinosaurs and paleobiology is inspiring. He also turned his passion into his career which is again very impressive. Not many of us can turn our favorite childhood toy into a fulltime job. And not one but two successful careers at that - Ross used his love for dinosaurs at the museum and also as a professor later on. I think passion is something we all need to excel at anything, if we love what we do, we keep doing it and then we become good at it. 

Education

Now as we all know - Ross was actually Dr. Ross Geller, he had done a PhD. I feel like many people want to do a PhD, but they don't do it due to the time it takes or maybe because of the effort it takes. But Ross did it and further displayed his passion for his field. I feel like education is really important and helps to build many social skills and moral values too. Ross was the most educated amongst his friends which made him unique and special in a way.

Books I Have Been Reading Recently (Part 10)

That Night by Nidhi Upadhyay I'm reading this book in a paperback format and have completed around 50 pages. The book is about four friends who played a game of Ouija while at college and a girl of their hostel died. Twenty years later someone is trying to mess with them even though they live in different parts of the world. Intriguing premise. And interesting writing style so far. I think I might like this book, let's see. The book is around 300 pages long. The Spanish Love Deception by Elena Armas This book is about Lina and Aaron Blackford - two colleagues who initially seemingly hate each other but somehow end up becoming each other's fake dates to some major events. I've read like 150 pages of this book so far and am finding it repetitive and boring as of now. Let's see how it goes. Five Most Patriotic Movies on Amazon Prime Video India Right Now

Raazi This movie was a solid 4.5/5 stars in my opinion. What I liked the most about this movie is that it portrays a young girl who spies for her country against all odds. The movie is based on a true story and it shed light on the unsung heroes of Indian history. The main character Sehmat left college, married and lived in Pakistan, so that she could gain intel about the upcoming war. The intel gathered by her and other spies helped India to get prepared for the Indo-Pakistan war of 1971 and the Ghazi attack. The movie is based on a book called "Calling Sehmat." Alia Bhatt plays the role of the lead actress and she was able to represent what the real Sehmat would have felt like - scared, brave, patriotic, loving, dangerous, caring, human, selfless and a thousand more indescribable emotions.
