A Diwali Prayer

O everlasting light,

Take away our fright

And give us might

And delight

Along with foresight.


This prayer is already true in a way. Light does take away our fright when we are scared of darkness. And when we light lamps, it brings us delight because of the sheer number of lights in the room. And when we are scared of darkness and we use light, it does give us some might. It also lets us see things which are far away yet approaching, so it gives us foresight too. But with this prayer, what I actually mean is.. When I say 'light', I am referring to the Gods and Goddesses. And I am asking God to take away the fears that we have within ourselves. I am asking God to give us strength to be graceful throughout suffering. I am asking God to give us the wisdom to stay happy with what we have and what we are. I am asking God to help us take decisions which are future-proof.

Restaurants That I Ate At Recently (Part 5)

That Waffle Place I have ordered from here before through online delivery platforms but recently I went and ate at their shop for the first time. They have quite a few branches I think. We went to the one in Alwarpet. We ordered their Frozen Hot Chocolate and Belgian Biscoff Waffle. I did not taste the frozen hot chocolate but the biscoff waffle was good although it would have been better if they added biscoff biscuit crumbles along with the biscoff spread. The place also had some games like jenga which kept us entertained. Overall, I would rate the place a 4/5 stars. Maison Indulgence We went to this place recently due to the Instagram hype that it has. But unfortunately, for us, it did not live up to the hype. We felt that all the items were overpriced. Five Most Patriotic Movies on Amazon Prime Video India Right Now

Raazi This movie was a solid 4.5/5 stars in my opinion. What I liked the most about this movie is that it portrays a young girl who spies for her country against all odds. The movie is based on a true story and it shed light on the unsung heroes of Indian history. The main character Sehmat left college, married and lived in Pakistan, so that she could gain intel about the upcoming war. The intel gathered by her and other spies helped India to get prepared for the Indo-Pakistan war of 1971 and the Ghazi attack. The movie is based on a book called "Calling Sehmat." Alia Bhatt plays the role of the lead actress and she was able to represent what the real Sehmat would have felt like - scared, brave, patriotic, loving, dangerous, caring, human, selfless and a thousand more indescribable emotions.
