Reviews of Restaurants That I Ate At Recently (Part 2)

V2 Prive

I have eaten at this place once before this time but I think it was at a different branch than the one I visited recently. So recently I visited the Kilpauk branch and we ordered mushroom fried rice, honey chili potato, gobi manchurian dry and tomato soup. The gobi manchurian was awesome but I think the honey chili potato could have been more crispy. The tomato soup was too sweet and the mushroom fried rice had too many mushrooms. Overall I would give this place a 3.75/5 stars. This is a pure veg restaurant and has many options for north Indian food.

Mantras

This was my first time eating at this place. I ordered vada curry with set dosa but I was hugely disappointed because the set dosa had too much turmeric and the vada curry had to much cardamom. The sambar also tasted somewhat sour. The coconut chutney was good though. Overall I would rate this place a 3/5 stars. This is a pure veg restaurant too and is located in Kilpauk on Ormes road.

MilkyWay

I have eaten at this restaurant before but it has been years since I ate there until recently when I visited after a long day for dessert. We ordered a vanilla softy and a choco dip softy, both were great. I just felt that the choco dip softy was a bit on the heavier side and a bit too sweet. I have tasted some of their other items on my previous visits, overall I would rate this place a 4/5 stars for their relatively affordable menu and wide options to choose from. I don't know if this restaurant has any other branches but I visited the one which is in Ethiraj Salai.

Mathsya

I have eaten at this place before several times but I had not visited it since a few years so I thought of going there again and we ordered paneer masala dosa, rava dosa, babycorn bajji, veg lollipop, sweet lassi and veg fried rice. The sweet lassi was great and I liked it even though I usually don't like lassi in general. The veg lollipop was not that tasty. The fried rice was great and the quantity was also plentiful. Babycorn bajji was great too. I also liked the rava dosa. Cannot comment on the paneer masala dosa as I did not taste it. Overall, would highly recommend this restaurant; it is a pure veg restaurant and they also serve Jain food I think. The prices are also quite affordable and the quantity is good too. This restaurant has several branches, I visited the one in Egmore. I would rate this restaurant a 4/5 stars.

Amalfi Italiana

This was our first time visiting this place and the ambience was really pretty with flowers on the ceiling and the lighting was great too. For the food, we ordered their pizza bombs and a pizza called - Quatro Formaggi. The description of the pizza said that the pizza would have several different types of cheese. I liked the pizza bombs, they were basically like cheese balls but with more cheese. I did not like the pizza because I thought the cheese kind of tasted funny. Would give this place a 3/5 stars. It is located in Pursavakkam.

Lyfe by Soul Garden Bistro

This was my second time visiting this place and this time we ordered butter paneer masala, phulkas, tandoori butter roti, veg fried rice and biscoff milkshake. The biscoff milkshake was not as good as the first time we had ordered it on our previous visit. The phulkas were exactly how we make them at home. The fried rice was good. The butter paneer masala was too buttery and the butter roti was nice. Overall I would give this restaurant a 4/5 stars. It is a bit pricey. It is a pure veg restaurant located in Kilpauk
