The Downside of Attractive

Ever wondered if conventionally attractive people have it better or worse than the average looking person? I thought about this a little and so I observed the lives of conventionally attractive people and found certain things. In some cases, attractive people had it better than others: they were able to make more friends of both genders, they were able to build trust faster, they were able to succeed at their studies/work and I think this had something to do with their looks too since other people thought subconsciously that since these people are good-looking, they are clever too and so other people treated them in a way that suggested that they are clever and so they themselves believed that they are clever and carried themselves in a way so that they would actually remain clever while also taking actions which would result in them getting the results that a clever person is expected to get. But these were people who were attractive but not the most attractive people in their class/group - they were better looking than most people but not the best. While this was the case with better than average people, what I observed about the most attractive people in the group was this: they had it worser than other people! They could not make many friends of the same gender because people of the same gender would envy them because of their looks probably. They could not make friends of the opposite gender too because people of the opposite gender would be very intimidated by them again because of their looks probably. And worst of all - other people assumed that these people were dumb just because they were attractive, this last point though was true only for women and not men. While the most attractive men in the group did not have many friends of both genders, they were still considered to be clever by other people. But women who were the most attractive in the group were considered to be dumb by others. Have you too noticed something like this or do you think I am wrong?
