Cruel Summer

This series has two seasons. This is an Amazon Original series and is available on Amazon Prime Video. Season 1 was centered around Kate who was groomed and kidnapped by the assistant principal at her school - Martin. This season also centered around Jeanette who is rumored to have seen the Kate at the Martin's house and still did not inform authorities. Kate puts a case on Jeanette. And Jeanette does seem shady because she went from nerdy to chic during the time when Kate was missing. She also became best friends with Kate's friends and she also became the girlfriend of Kate's boyfriend while Kate was missing. After Kate is rescued, we also see Jeanette transforming from chic to someone who looks like a cult member. All this makes Jeanette look suspicious. This season is a web of lies, friendship, love, betrayal, transformation, etc. 
The second season is centered around Megan who wants to become a software developer and Isabella who comes to live in the small town where Megan lives. Isabella stays at Megan's house for a year as an exchange student. Within this one year, Megan goes from hating Isabella to becoming Isabella's best friend to again hating Isabella. Also, within this one year, Megan's best friend Luke turns into Isabella's lover and then into Megan's lover and then he ends up dead. A scandalous video tape, a suspicious computer wizard who was fired from a big tech giant and lies within Luke's family make this season a great watch!

I Know What You Did Last Summer

This series has just one season with eight episodes. The series is about identical twins Allison and Lennon. Though they look the same, they are completely different. Allison has no friends, no lovers, no job, no driving license, no prospects. Lennon is not a virgin, has multiple lovers, many friends, great grades, a driving license and she is also going to go to college. One night Allison and Lennon get into a fight and Allison kills Lennon by accident on the road but Lennon's friend mistake the whole situation. They think Lennon killed Allison. Allison also plays along because otherwise Lennon's friends will not help her cover up the crime. Then they all go off to college and come back home a year later during summer. All of Lennon's friends and Lennon (Allison) receive threats that someone knows what they did last summer. One by one, all of Lennon's friends end up dead. Who is the killer? Who knows about their crime? Or is it something else that happened last summer that this person is avenging? Watch to find out!

Wilderness

This series has one season with six episodes. The series is about a couple - Liv and Will. Liv and Will have migrated to the US from the UK because of Will's job. Liv gives up her job, family and friends all for Will's wish. They seem to have a normal life until Liv finds out that Will is cheating on her. She confronts him and he tries to convince her that it was a one time thing. Liv learns that it was not a one night thing. She follows Will's mistress and finds out a lot of things about her. Liv then decides to kill Will. They go on a road trip to mend their marriage. Unexpectedly, Will's mistress also arrives at the exact spot where Will and Liv are vacationing. By mistake, Liv kills Will's mistress because she thinks it is Will. The story has a lot of awesome elements to it. I do recommend watching it.

That Waffle Place I have ordered from here before through online delivery platforms but recently I went and ate at their shop for the first time. They have quite a few branches I think. Books I Have Been Reading Recently (Part 10)

That Night by Nidhi Upadhyay I'm reading this book in a paperback format and have completed around 50 pages. The book is about four friends who played a game of Ouija while at college and a girl of their hostel died. Twenty years later someone is trying to mess with them even though they live in different parts of the world. Intriguing premise. And interesting writing style so far. I think I might like this book, let's see. The book is around 300 pages long. The Spanish Love Deception by Elena Armas This book is about Lina and Aaron Blackford - two colleagues who initially seemingly hate each other but somehow end up becoming each other's fake dates to some major events. I've read like 150 pages of this book so far and am finding it repetitive and boring as of now. Let's see how it goes. I might rate the book a 2/5 stars if the writing does not improve as the book progresses. Or if it improves, I might rate it 3/5 stars or 4/5 stars, let's see. Until now, the pa

Five Most Patriotic Movies on Amazon Prime Video India Right Now

Raazi This movie was a solid 4.5/5 stars in my opinion. What I liked the most about this movie is that it portrays a young girl who spies for her country against all odds. The movie is based on a true story and it shed light on the unsung heroes of Indian history. The main character Sehmat left college, married and lived in Pakistan, so that she could gain intel about the upcoming war. The intel gathered by her and other spies helped India to get prepared for the Indo-Pakistan war of 1971 and the Ghazi attack. The movie is based on a book called "Calling Sehmat." Alia Bhatt plays the role of the lead actress and she was able to represent what the real Sehmat would have felt like - scared, brave, patriotic, loving, dangerous, caring, human, selfless and a thousand more indescribable emotions.
